Vicky’s godparents stepped to the front of the church, meeting the wedding couple with a hug. They lovingly placed the beautiful beaded lasso around first Aaron and then Vicky, joining them together. Entwined by the crystal and gold beading of the lasso, Vicky and Aaron stood there at the front of the church in a perfect symbol of eternal and everlasting love and commitment.
This same lasso had been placed around Vicky’s grandparent’s on their wedding day, as they made the same promises to each other to love and cherish one another, the same way that Vicky and Aaron now had spoken their promises to each other in this church. With emotion strewed across their faces, Vicky’s godfather spoke loving words of affirmation to them, and Aaron’s father gave them his blessing.
Vicky and Aaron’s wedding was gorgeously emotional – it was hard to find a dry eye during their ceremony – it was a beautiful celebration of love, and it was the perfect mix of pieces of both Vicky’s Mexican heritage as well as Aaron’s German background throughout the wedding.
Their reception was held at a cozy German Inn placed in the midst of the rolling hills of vineyards in the German region around near the Rhine river. We were able to fit in a glowy session in these beautiful vineyards right as the sun was setting, and I am in love with the glow and love we were able to capture together!
Vicky and Aaron’s first dance was an upbeat and romantic salsa, which led way to a traditional performance by Vicky and her family: Long colorful dresses swirled around the room, and wide brimmed sombreros bounced alongside, and with this performance the party was started!
