I am American-Danish and I have lived in Denmark, The U.S., Japan, and Germany! I am a local of many places and find 'home' in the relationships I build in the places I go! I'm currently living in a small apartment in Denmark with my two cats. I like to consider myself a global citizen
Throughout my travels, I have always enjoyed hearing other people's stories, connecting with new people, and learning what makes them smile! Now, as a photographer, I get to capture those stories and smiles, and it is a dream come true!
I preserve legacies through my pictures, and strive for my pictures to be genuine and joyful!
I have worked as a teacher in the U.S. and Japan, and absolutely love teaching. Although, I love learning equally as much. I believe we have so much to learn from each other in this world and that people's uniqueness is what makes life interesting (Read more about my philosophy on life HERE!)

I studied english at university and love both reading and writing. You can often find me cuddled up with a good book and fuzzy blanket or with a journal in hand, jotting down my thoughts, ideas, or favorite quotes. I recently discovered bullet journaling and am in love!

I feel inspired by the beach. I currently live in denmark, a country surrounded by ocean, and i believe there truly is something inspiring about the places where water and land come together. I love the sound of the waves, the breeze, the sand.

My husband and I have two cats; Lille Prut and Joey, and they bring so much joy into our home! We might be borderline crazy cat people... I grew up with two dogs though and if you ask me whether I prefer cats or dogs, I won't be able to answer!

being outside truly feels like a breath of fresh air! I love being active outside year-round! In the warmer months that means hiking and rock-climbing, and in the colder months skiing! My top three hikes include Harder Kulm, Angel's Landing and Cinque Terre!

I love creating and lately my favorite way of creating has been crocheting! I might be an 80-year-old under cover . . . My grandma taught me how to crochet when I was 7 years old, and I fell in love! Currently my favorite things to crochet are dreamcatchers and lace ornaments!

Christmas
I gre up in a household where christmas meant "hygge" in every sense of the word. Candlelit dinners and caroling around the block. Rice pudding with cinnamon and elaborate christmas sweaters. My childhood home always looked like the northpole during december- and my love for christmas has stayed!

my philosophy
I believe in the good in other people - and in myself. I believe that we are stronger together than we are apart, and that there is enough room in this world for diversity and varied ways of living.
I believe that there is a greater meaning to life, and that love will always prevail. I am a perfectionist, but I know that there is beauty in imperfection, and I have learned that it is through this understanding that progress finds its way.

why i love
Have you ever looked at a picture and smiled remembering the genuine happiness you felt in the moment it was taken? Or have you ever teared up with sentimentality over looking at a picture of a family member or friend from a time since passed?
I have always been fascinated by the way in which moments are frozen into eternity through the capture of a photo and the way in which memories of significance then can be revisited through those images captured. I believe that the real power of photography lies in its power to preserve and capture precious memories as well as in the ability it has to evoke beautiful emotion.
