Laughter moved around the room and glasses of champagne softly clinked together as the group of wedding guests cheered to the newlywed couple’s love. Mia, in her fitted dress with lace sleeves and train looked perfectly elegant and classy and Mikkel in his three-piece suit complemented her elegance perfectly!

The church they were wed in, Grundfør church, was the same church that Mia as a baby was christened in, and Mia wore the same veil that her sister wore at her wedding just a few months prior! I love it when a deeper meaning hides behind some of the wedding details, and this was a wedding filled with meaning!

Mia and Mikkel are such a sweet couple, and already at our engagement session I got a strong feeling of how much family and friends mean to them! It was such an honor to be there for their wedding and to see and capture these special connections between them and their loved ones! There was so much happiness, laughter and joy present between the couple and amongst the guests!

The reception was held at Gl. Skovridergaard in Silkeborg in the midst of the calm nature surrounding the area! It was the perfect framing for Mia and Mikkel’s intimate gathering and a beautiful backdrop for a few group and family pictures- and of course we were able to fit in some “just married” portraits of the bride and groom as well!

Right before I left, I was able to snap a few shots of the dinner set-up and I left the couple to enjoy the rest of the night with their closest family and friends!
