As I walked through the sea of colorful tulips surrounding me, I couldn’t help but feel as if I had been transported to some kind of otherworldly realm. It felt surreal. Bold colors dancing with each other as the wind blew across the fields.
It was a cloudy and windy day, not atypical for the Danish countryside where clouds and wind seem to be the norm. However, what brightness lacked because of the cloud-cover, the tulips made up for with their cheery and bright colors! The tulips were organized in neat rows. Some separated according to color, and some intermixed. Nature’s confetti!
At the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown here in Denmark, my husband and I took a little trip to a nearby tulip field. You probably have heard of the Dutch tulip fields, and of how incredible they are. It has been an item on my bucket list for a while now to make it down to the Netherlands during tulip season, and to be fair it still is on the list! However, when I found out about this field located just about an hour from my home I HAD to go, and I am so glad I did!
It was a magical experience and I hope these film-like pictures will transport you! Enjoy taking a little walk with me through these colorful Danish tulip fields!
