Caro spoke Tom’s name softly, and when he turned around and saw his bride for the first time his eyes lit up with happiness. Caro and Tom got ready at the Steigenberger Hotel in Bad Homburg. Before their ceremony at the city hall in Usingen, they shared a first look. A few moments of peace and intimacy as an engaged couple before forever being joined together as husband and wife.
Caro is from Germany and Tom from Norway. They are another long distance success story! During the ceremony at the Hugenotten church in Usingen, everything was first said in German and then translated into Norwegian. The entire ceremony was also broadcasted through video to Tom’s family in Norway. Because of Covid-19 restrictions his family wasn’t able to make the trip to Germany for the wedding, so it was so special that they were able to still in some ways be present for the wedding! I loved capturing a few moments of Caro and Tom greeting their loved ones in Norway after the ceremony!
For portraits we went to the Bad Homburg park where we found a gorgeous willow tree! Willow trees always make for such romantic and soft portraits! Afterwards we went to a nearby castle. The castle served as the perfect scene for Caro and Tom’s portraits with its classy architecture, palms and olive trees.
Caro and Tom are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet and their love for one another is so pure and beautiful. While taking pictures, I loved seeing their smiles get just a little bit bigger every time they would look at each other, and that sparkle that Tom had in his eyes when he first saw Caro was there the whole day! I hope that you all can feel their sweetness and kindness through their pictures!
