This past week I was reminded that there truly is a time and a season for everything, and here’s my little story that reminded me of this:
I had mini sessions all week last week in the cherry orchards of Ockstadt, but because of the rain and wind I was certain that the cherry blossoms wouldn’t make it to my last sessions on the weekend. And they didn’t.
I was disappointed when I realized that the cherry blossoms had most likely all blown or wilted away, but decided to show up on location with a positive attitude and ready to create magic regardless of the setting! Once I arrived I was so happy to see that although the cherry blossoms were gone the apple blossoms were now in full bloom!
Friends, this small experience truly did remind me that there is a time and a season for everything. The end of the cherry blossom season did not mean the end of beauty; it simply meant the beginning of a new set of blooms. And once the apple blossoms wilt away a new set of plants will bloom.
I want to remember this in life too. The end of a chapter is also the beginning of a new one, and though there might be sadness in the end of something, there can still be room for joy about the beginning of something else.
