Hello Dreamers!
As an extension to my “About Me” page (if you haven’t already, read that here), I wanted to take a few moments to introduce myself in a little more detail in case you are wondering more about who the person behind the camera of Dreamer by Day Photography might be!

I’m coming up on my second anniversary of being married to my “Schatz,” and if you work with me as your photographer you will most likely also see quite a bit of him around. He is my assistant, my biggest supporter, and my better half. Together we are proud cat parents to a crazy red and white striped house-cat, Findus.

I studied literature at university and have a love for reading and writing alike- especially poetry. The Dreamer by Day Photography brand and philosophy was founded on inspiration taken from a quote by T.E. Lawrence, and if you want to, you can read more about that here!
I grew up traveling often and have lived in 4 different countries (Denmark, Germany, U.S.A, Japan) and over 13 different cities throughout the world (feel free to contact me in Danish, German, English, or Japanese!). I love the insight and perspective traveling and exploring different cultures and languages gives me into others’ lives as well as into my own life. As much as I love traveling though, at the end of the day I am also a huge homebody and love cuddling up on the couch or in bed with a blanket and a good book, my journal, or Netflix (if you have any suggestions for what to watch, let me know 😉 )!

I have always enjoyed meeting new people and interacting with others and learning of and from their stories and lives. Although our lives might be speckled with hardship at times, we all have a beautiful story to tell and that story deserves to be told. I believe this is one of the purposes of photography- to tell stories, and to capture moments, preserving them for the eternities. The snapshots of the little moments throughout our days are what ultimately weave together and make up the entire story of our lives, and these are the moments I want to help you capture and preserve!
Often these small moments in life seem to get lost, but one of my favorite parts of photography is the smile it brings to people when they receive their photos and relive the love and joy they felt in the moment or for each other when the snapshot was captured.
I’d like to use this space on my blog to connect with all of you, because I believe that the best pictures come out of photographer-client relationships that feel authentic and comfortable instead of stiff, awkward, and impersonal. For now, I hope you enjoyed this little tidbit of information about me, and if you would like to connect or book a session, or if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me! I’d love to hear from you!
