Vicky and Aaron showed up to our session in Bad Nauheim near Frankfurt in the classiest outfit and with the biggest smiles with their sweet pup Tulum in tow! I told Vicky that they looked like they were ready for a brunch with the royal family in their outfits- and don’t you agree? The sun was blaring and the temperatures were sky-high, but both Vicky and Aaron were all smiles during their session and it was so fun getting to capture them together as they smiled and laughed together!

Vicky and Aaron are a long-distance success story! About 5 years ago they met and fell in love in the U.S. while studying at university on the East Coast. Aaron was there as an exchange student and as his exchange came to an end, a U.S. – Germany long-distance relationship ensued!

Long-distance couples have a special place in my heart as my husband and I also had to navigate a long-distance relationship for several years before we got married. In the words of Vicky herself: Long distance relationships are hard, but also immensely rewarding. After a time of long-distance, Vicky bought a one-way ticket to Germany and since then this couple has been a dynamic duo of traveling and exploring and navigating life together. Tulum, their sweet white poodle, joined their family a few years ago! It was so so sweet to see this little trio together. We made sure to include a few pictures featuring Tulum as well!

Aaron proposed during a romantic weekend in Hamburg! After a perfect day of first-class seafood and the Lion King musical, Vicky and Aaron walked hand-in-hand back towards their hotel. On the way they stopped in a park and this is where Aaron popped the question! Vicky said that she was so so shocked that the YES didn’t come out immediately, but it came! This August they will say their I-Do’s and the long distance and waiting will dissolve into a lifetime of togetherness!
