Simin and Lars got engaged at Neuschwanstein castle in Germany- you know the real-life Disney castle?! – how much more of a fairytale setting can you ask for? They were married almost two years ago in Copenhagen, Denmark and we just recently celebrated their engagement anniversary together with a glowy seaside photoshoot! Simin is Danish and Lars is German, so it has been so fun for both Jan and I to get to know this fellow multi-cultural couple! They are adventurous, love to travel together, and are big game night enthusiasts! Also, a bonus; if you ever have the pleasure of being invited over to their home you might also get to experience that they are both great cooks. I’ve been lucky enough to experience this first-hand 😉
For their anniversary photoshoot we headed to the beach near Flensburg at sunset, and the light was perfectly soft and glowy! If you look closely, you might notice the swan in the background of several of their pictures. When we showed up on location, he swam over to us, and he stayed close and even followed us as we moved locations to further down the shore. Maybe he wanted a few moments in the limelight as well, so I was sure to snap a few pictures of him as well! 🙂
I loved this session with Simin and Lars, and had so much fun hanging out with them! After this session together we had a change of wardrobe and headed to a second location for part II of their engagement anniversary session, so be sure to stay tuned for part II coming to the blog soon. Until then, enjoy these perfectly romantic, soft and glowy portraits of a beautiful, kind and joyful couple!
